Campers will spend the week at Aiken Technical College. Morning Discovery sessions will focus on one element of manufacturing per day with exercises that reinforce critical thinking/problem solving skills and team. These elements to be discovered are chemical processing, electrical, mechanical, logic controllers and safety. In the afternoon, campers will explore careers in engineering and technology in state-of-the-art facilities. Camp Success Aiken is open to 9th and 10th graders. Camp will begin with a Parents’ Meeting and Orientation on Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During Sunday's orientation, campers will begin by learning aboout specifications and build Ice Cream Sundaes. The camp will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, Monday through Friday. Each day is filled with an exciting and diverse schedule of Discovery Workshops, learning lab activities, and field trips to local companies. Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. is Celebration Day for campers, their families and guests. A parent information session will be followed by team presentations and recognitions.
