The Silver Crescent Foundation is seeking nominations for the 2011 Silver Crescent Award for Manufacturing Excellence, honored in three categories: small, medium and large manufacturers. The deadline for submission is June 15, 2011, and the distinguished awards luncheon, Salute to Manufacturing, will be held on September 22, 2011 at the Carolina First Center in Greenville. The Salute to Manufacturing luncheon will honor the Silver Crescent award recipients and provide an opportunity for manufacturers and community leaders to recognize the accomplishments of South Carolina’s best and brightest companies. The application and selection process is simple and straightforward. Download the application criteria here. Selection is based upon: Quality Improvement Efforts Quality of Life Programs Improvements in the Environment Involvement in Local Community & Economic Development Education and Workforce Development Overall Effectiveness To be eligible for nomination, a company must have been in operation in South Carolina for at least three years prior to June 1, 2011. Anyone may nominate a South Carolina manufacturer meeting this requirement, including company employees, community leaders, economic developers, Chamber of Commerce officials, customers, suppliers, friends and partners.
