 Noted Innovator, Gus Whalen, to Speak at Salute
Gus Whalen is the Chairman of The Warren Featherbone Company of Gainesville, Georgia and directs the efforts of The Warren Featherbone Foundation. In its remarkable 127-year history, Warren companies have been active in manufacturing, banking, agriculture, publishing and philanthropy.
Mr. Whalen's role in speaking with us is to paint a larger picture of corporate transformation. This includes adapting to change, innovation and investment in people. It's not often we have a chance to observe corporate adaptation over so many years. Gus believes that the future of organizations, including ours, is determined by our DNA---who we are, not just what we've always done.   Educational Forum
As part of this year's Salute to Manufacturing, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the Silver Crescent Foundation are hosting an educational workshop focusing on Manufacturing's Support of Education and Future Workforce Development. The workshop will take place from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Columbia.
